Graveside services for Kember O. Porterfield, 66, of Beaumont, Texas, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Parkersburg Cemetery southwest of Clinton.
Porterfield died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2014, at College Street Health Care Center in Beaumont.
A lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born Jan. 21, 1948 to Hazel Doiron Porterfield and Woodson Porterfield.
He graduated from South Park High School where he excelled at track and field and baseball. He went on to graduate from the Lamar Institute of Technology in Beaumont.
Survivors include a brother, Woodson O. Porterfield Jr. of Lufkin, Texas; a sister, Gayle Stanford and her husband, Robert, of Lufkin; and five nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are with Broussard’s Funeral Directors in Beaumont.
