Funeral services will be held for Lisa Bell Brown, 41, at 2 p.m. Saturday at Clinton’s First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Brown died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, at her Clinton home.
Lisa Ann Crawford (Bell) Brown was born Aug. 21, 1964, to William and Earline (Bell) Crawford. She was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1982, and then continued her education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. After her mother passed away in 1984, Brown was needed at home to care for her younger sisters and wasn’t able to complete her schooling. In 1989 she moved to South Carolina for a short time, but returned to Clinton in 1991. She attended the Burns Flat Western Technology Center and became a licensed practical nurse in 2000. She married James Allen Brown Jr. in Wellington, Texas in 2001. Brown was employed for some time at the Clinton Veterans Center and for the past seven years was employed with Lucky Star Casino in Clinton. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She loved going to the casino, and playing bingo and dominoes.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her maternal and paternal grandparents; and a brother, Raymond.
She is survived by her husband, of the home; two daughters, Gracious Arnette and husband, Nate Cotton, Oklahoma City, and Le Anna Bell, of the home; a son, James Brown Jr., of the home; eight sisters, Linda Trotter, California, Ceical Crawford, Longview, Texas, Shana Brooks, Clinton, Patrice Gresham, Keisha Griffin, Tammy Crawford, Kimberly Moore and Angel Justice, all of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Charles Alexander, California, David Griffin and William Griffin, both of Clinton; and one grandson, Javien Cotton.
Services will be officiated by Rev. Billy Mucker, minister of Bethany Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Clinton Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
