Mark Bernard
The family of Mark Bernard, 52, of Clinton, will greet guests and friends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel.
Bernard died Saturday March 23, 2016, at AllianceHealth in Clinton.
Mark Edward Bernard was born Nov. 22, 1963, to Bill G. Bernard and Rosa May (Barker) Bernard, in Clinton. He was raised in Clinton, where he also attended school.
Bernard spent most of his life working in construction and roofing in the Clinton and Okmulgee areas. He was an accomplished tattoo artist and enjoyed weightlifting and fishing, but most of all his family.
He was preceded in death by his father; step-father Theodore Fain Chaphan; two brothers, Larry Rollins and Tracey Lee Chaphan; his grandfather, Clarence Barker; and his aunt, Ruth Edwards.
Survivors include his mother, grandmother Dallas Barker, and daughter Sarah Denney, all of Clinton; four sons, Nick Hankins-Bernard, of Schulter, Bradley Scott Bernard and wife Janelle, of California, Mo., Johnny Ray Bernard, of Okmulgee, and Austin Potter, of Clarksburg, Mo.; sister Angela Dawn Brandes and husband Larry, of Sedalia, Mo.; three step-brothers, T.W. Claphan, Monte Claphan, both of Chickasha, and Elza Wayne Chaphan, of Lawton; and five grandchildren.
