Nancy Lucas

Funeral services for Nancy Lucas, 44, Butler resident, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday at the Butler Baptist Church.
She died Aug. 25, 2015, in her Butler home.
Nancy Vera Lucas was born May 7, 1971, the daughter of Ron Elton Gass and Patricia Maxine (Bennett) Gass in Syracuse, Kan.
She was raised in Syracuse and attended and graduated school there.  She was in food service working in restaurants and did bookkeeping for Miguel Dairy Service.
She had moved to Nevada for a short time and settled in Butler in 2004.  She was well known for her cooking and loved to cook for large numbers of people. She opened the Round Up Café in Butler in 2007 and operated it until her death.  
She was a member of the Syracuse Methodist Church.  She was very involved in her children’s sporting events and loved watching and supporting the Arapaho-Butler basketball teams. She liked to watch PBR bull riding, and she enjoyed doing geocaching.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford, of the home; her four children, Allison Gass, Noelle Gass, and Rollie Lucas, all of Butler, and Tyler Lucas, (U.S. Marine Corps), Okinawa, Japan; her father, Ron Gass, of Butler; two brothers, Rick Gass and his wife, Tammy, of Cleburne, Texas,  and Randy Gass, of Butler; and three nephews, Austin, Nicholas and Colton.
Visitation will be held 10 a.m. Monday in the church until service time.  Services will be officiated by Rev. Terry Beals.
