Nash Lucas
Funeral services for Nash Conrad Lucas, the 2-year-old boy who was one of four fatality victims of a car that crashed into a crowd of spectators at Saturday’s Oklahoma State University homecoming parade, will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Weatherford.
Nash died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, which is associated with the University of Oklahoma Medical Center. He was transferred there following the mishap in Stillwater.
Born April 24, 2013, in Weatherford, Nash was the son of Nicolette Danielle Strauch and Josh Tyler Lucas. He and his mother, Niki, moved earlier this year to Stillwater where she was attending OSU.
He was a joyful little boy who enjoyed playing with his tractors, Paw Patrol, Barney, and Bob the Builder. He loved singing “Itsy Bitsy Spider” and his ABC’s. His favorite songs were “Watch Me Whip” and “Shake It Off,” or just about anything else that came on the radio.
Earl Stephenson will officiate at the service with burial following in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.
Nash is survived by his mother, Niki Strauch of Stillwater; his father, Josh Lucas, Oklahoma City; his maternal grandparents, Charles and Carie Strauch, Weatherford; maternal great-grandparents, Donna Wininger, Weatherford, and Lonnie Strauch, Houston, Texas; his paternal grandparents, Brandon and Stephanie Lucas, Weatherford; paternal great-grandparents, Delores Love, Weatherford, and Billy and Pat
Thompson, Canton; one sister, Ava Lucas, Benton, Ark.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Conrad Wininger and Charles Strauch Sr., and great-grandparents Darrel and Sherry Lucas.
