Nellie McClure

Nellie J. McClure, longtime resident of Clinton, went to be with Jesus on December 19th, 2015 in Austin, Texas. She was born in Kingston, Oklahoma.

She and her husband Vernon owned McClure Body Shop and were members of First Christian Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her husband Vernon, and daughter Martha Anne McClure Benke. She is survived by granddaughter Kaile Benke Mizell, grandson Daniel (Trey) Benke, and son-in-law Dan Benke.

Nellie is remembered for her zest for life, service to the community, love for music, and love of family.  A memorial service will be held at Teri Road Baptist Church at 1844 Teri Road in Austin, Texas at 4 pm on Saturday, January 2nd. Graveside service in Clinton is being planned for a later date.
