Oreta Mitchell
Funeral services for Oreta Fay Mitchell, 81, of Custer County, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel.
She died Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Grace Living Center in Clinton.
Oreta Fay (Price) Mitchell was born Nov. 21, 1934, to Robert James Price and Alma Fay (Thompson) Price, in Eagle City. She was raised in the Butler area and graduated from Butler High School in 1952. She continued her education at Oklahoma A&M and then attended Burns Flat Technical School, where she earned her licensed practical nursing certificate.
Price was employed by several medical facilities, including Bartlett Memorial Hospital in Sapulpa.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and enjoyed cross stitching and craft work. She was also a hat enthusiast.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband and close friend, Roy Keith Mitchell; a brother, Robert James “R.J.” Price; and a son, Rodney Keith Mitchell.
Survivors include a daughter, Terri Manos and husband Mark, of Okeene; a son, Todd Mitchell and wife Sarah, of Wausau, Wis.; two sisters, Oleta Glenn and husband Wendyl, of Sherman, Texas, and Rowena Jones, of Clinton; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Price, of Coffeeville, Kan.; three grandchildren, Ja’Nice Mitchell Lewis, Tess Mitchell and Emma Mitchell; a great-grandson, Cohen Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be officiated by Rev. Rick Robart. Interment will follow at Butler Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
