Ruth Love

Funeral services will be held for Ruth Elizabeth Love, 66, of Clinton, at 2 p.m. Friday at Broadway Heights Baptist Church in Clinton. She died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, in the Cordell Christian Home.

Mrs. Love was born Feb. 2, 1949, to Robert and Elizabeth (Teague) Korstjens, in Oklahoma City. She grew up in the Oklahoma City area and graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1967, and later received a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from Oklahoma Christian University. She was employed as a bookkeeper at a nursing home until she moved to Clinton in 2007, where she worked for SWODA, Opportunities, Inc., Clinton Public Library, Wear It Again and the Women’s Shelter. Mrs. Love was a member of Broadway Heights Baptist Church in Clinton.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by two daughters, Sharon and husband, George Alder, Edmond, and Amanda and husband, Scott Campbell, Clinton; one son, Richard Agee and wife, Mellissa, Blackwell; three sisters, Mary Eikenbary, Oklahoma City, Marjorie and husband, Gordon Duncan, Jones, and Patricia Hays, Del City; two brothers, Robert Korstjens II and wife, Luanne, Oklahoma City, and Lawrence Korstjens and wife, Patricia, Yukon; and 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be officiated by Rev. George Knapp. Interment will follow at Parkersburg Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
