Steven Grube

A memorial service was held for Steven Dale Grube, 66, of Dill City, at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Cordell.
He died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at his residence.
Grube was born July 20, 1950, to Edward and Marie (Harroald) Grube, in Wichita, Kan. He graduated from Yukon High School in 1968.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as the groundskeeper at the Burns Flat Golf Course for 15 years, and then worked at Clinton Veteran’s Center for 12 years.
Grube was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Michael.
Survivors include his wife, Connie, of the home; two sons, Ben Grube and wife Amanda, of Weatherford, and Nathan Grube and wife Elizabeth, of Cordell; five grandchildren, Taylor, Hayly and Callie, all of Seiling, and Kinsi and Gage, of Cordell; two brothers, Bruce Grube and wife, Anjia, of Florida, and Brian Grube and wife, Debbie, of El Reno; and four sisters, Connie McNiff and husband, Les, of Oklahoma City, Anita Storlie and husband, Jon, of North Carolina, Shannon Wiebelt and husband, Robert, of Crescent, and Cecila Lawless of Yukon.
