Venoy foust
Graveside services were held Monday for Venoy Foust, 74, of Rocky, at Odessa Cemetery north of Gotebo.
Mr. Foust died March 31, 2016, in Oklahoma City.
He was born April 26, 1941, in Cogar, to Cecil and Rena (Gillis) Foust. In 1982 he married Sarah Woodard, and became a husband, father and grandfather.
Foust was a carpenter by trade, and worked for the city of Rocky for 20 years. He enjoyed riding and working with horses, roping, woodworking, gardening, music and country dancing. His love for the outdoors extended to grilling in the outdoor kitchen he designed and built himself.
He served as a Washita County commissioner from 1974 to 1978. He enjoyed his time as a volunteer at the Rocky Senior Citizens Center, and he was always willing to help anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister-in-law, Barbara Foust; mother-in-law and father-in-law Bob and Mary Coffey; and one son-in-law, Bunny Stephens.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; daughter Jamie Stephens, of Bengal; son Justin Foust and wife Ellen, of Bengal; granddaughter Jessie Stephens, of Bengal; sister Lola Hart and husband Don, of Rocky; four brothers, Herman Foust and wife Lawanna, of Eufala, Earl Foust and wife Georgia, of Clinton, David Foust, of Pensacola, Fla., and Sidney Foust, of Belle-ville, Mich.; brother-in-law Ronnie Woodard, of Gotebo; sister-in-law Margaret Foust, of Hobart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
