Vicki Nickel

Funeral services will be held for Vicki Dee Nickel, 73, of Cordell at 10 a.m. Thursday at Herold Mennonite Church in Bessie. 
She died Monday, April 1, 2019, in Oklahoma City. 
Nickel was born July 4, 1945, to Alfred and Hazel (Green) Maddox in Cordell. She grew up and attended school in Cordell, graduating in 1963. 
On May 10, 1968, she married Robert Nickel in Cordell.
She was a member of the Herold Mennonite Church and enjoyed watching basketball games, working on puzzles and spending time with her family. 
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a great-grandson, Creed Maddox Sherrill. 
Survivors include two daughters, Denise Intemann and husband Robin of Pampa, Texas, and DeAnn Coldwell and husband Paul of Mustang; a son, Darren Nickel and wife Tracy of Bessie; five grandchildren, Karissa Sherrill and husband Vance of Granbury, Texas, Kailee Intemann of Amarillo, Texas, Damon Hart of Oklahoma City, Ryan Nickel and wife April of Cordell, and Logan Nickel of Bessie; four great-grandchildren, Crew, Case, Lola and David Joe; two sisters, Kay Buie and husband Ed of Arlington, Texas, and Sherry Hale of McKinney, Texas; and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Voth and husband Melvin of Adair. 
Interment will follow the service at Herold Mennonite Cemetery.
