MONETT, MO. – Clinton wrestling nearly picked up its third tournament win in as many attempts scoring 304 team points and clinching second place at the Monett Tournament Saturday.
OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoman released its annual All-State Team Sunday and Clinton running back Deonte Barker earned Honorable Mention honors from the publication.
After weather delays and cancellations, the Clinton boys’ basketball team (3-6) finished out Hub City Classic play with a 64-35 loss to Guymon Friday at the Tornado Dome.
Clinton basketball dropped both its Hub City Classic openers, as the girls’ team (4-4) lost 41-30 to Millwood and the boys’ (3-5) lost 62-56 to Millwood Thursday night at the Tornado Dome.
Clinton wrestling went on the road to face two top-tier 4A teams and came out with a win over No. 6 Catoosa 52-13 and a loss to No. 2 Vinita 43-27 Thursday at Vinita.
