Talented cast set for ‘Smoke’ show

A mix of seasoned veterans and promising new major performers will be taking the stage for Southwest Playhouse’s opening production of the 2014-2015 season — “Smoke on the Mountain: Homecoming,” set for Sept. 12-14 and the following 19-21 at the theatre at N. Sixth and Nowahy in Clinton. “Homecoming” is the third in the trilogy.

This reporter caught up with the small ensemble cast during rehearsals recently at the venerable WPA-built theatre in north Clinton for a series of brief interviews while they were conducting a read-through of the script under the tutelage of director Julie Barnett.
