Members of the Foss Reservoir Master Conservancy District board of directors want Project Director Shawn Dewees to identify a backup to take over for him when he’s gone or incapacitated.
Directors discussed the situation briefly at their regular July meeting Monday night after it was brought up by J.C. Sperle of Bessie. They took no action, but the discussion concluded with Chairman David Berrong of Clinton telling Dewees, “Why don’t you just do that?”
Dewees, a Clinton resident, was named project director (essentially manager of the Foss treatment plant and its three-county water distribution system) in May. He had been appointed interim director in November of 2015.
