An inmate of the Custer County Jail will be reimbursed $108 to buy himself a new pair of tennis shoes.
The reimbursement was approved Monday by Custer County commissioners after Sheriff Bruce Peoples said Bullcoming’s shoes were mistakenly given to another inmate.
In a claim for the shoes, Bullcoming said that on June 20 his wife had brought him tennis shoes, sweat pants and a shirt. He said that when he inquired about them July 8, the jail staff found his shirt and pants but not his shoes.
