New Weatherford facility affecting Clinton

Next month, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma (RFBO) will open a “food and resource center” in Weatherford that will significantly change the experience people have of visiting a food bank.
The Weatherford Food & Resource Center has been in the planning stages for over a year. Lori Flansburg, executive director of the new facility, said the ribbon cutting and dedication will be Tuesday, Aug. 30, and the official opening will be Thursday, Sept. 8.
Natalie Price, special events and marketing coordinator at RFBO, said the Food & Resource Center pilot program was launched in 2012. By the end of August there will be 13 of the resource centers open, and additional centers are planned throughout their 53-county service area.
