Two men in a single-engine fairly large Cessna RG airplane flying out of Oklahoma City experienced an apparent fuel system failure, forcing them down four miles north of Dead Woman’s Crossing north of Weatherford early Monday. Sheriff Bruce Peoples said the pilot brought the Cessna down on the roadway, but an apparent power outage didn’t allow him to fully extend the nose gear, and the nose of the plane ended up hitting the road surface. Peoples said the plane landed on County Road 2440. Neither of the plane’s occupants was injured.
