Robert “Bob” Gene Lettkeman

Funeral services for Robert “Bob” Gene Lettkeman, 59 year-old Weatherford resident, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lockstone Funeral Home Chapel with Scott Hume officiating.

Lettkeman died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, at home in Weatherford surrounded by family. He was born June 8, 1955 in Dothan, Ala., the son of Orville and Wanda (Gilstrap) Lettkeman.

He was raised and attended school in California until 1966 when his family moved to Clinton, where he graduated from Clinton High School in 1973.

He drove an oilfield truck for years. Lettkeman served his country in the U.S. Army during 1983-89. He was stationed in Germany and continued working in Germany for the military.
On May 21, 1999, he married Gail Davis in Las Vegas, Nev., and they made their home in Weatherford. Lettkeman started B & G Distributors, serving convenience stores in western Oklahoma.

Survivors include his mother, Wanda Lettkeman, of Clinton; his wife, Gail Lettkeman, of their home in Weatherford; one son, Michael Lettkeman and his wife, Carrie, of Weatherford; five daughters, Laura Munn and her husband, Vince, of San Diego, Calif., Renilta Denny and her husband, Shannon, of Erick, Samantha Johnston and her husband, Ronald, of Fort Collins, Colo., Kirsten Beyer and her husband, Jason, of Bonner Springs, Kan., and Meredith Sprong, of Ontario, Canada; four brothers, David Lettkeman and his wife, Misty, of Parker, Colo., Dennis Lettkeman and his wife, Shirley, of Watonga, Pete Lettkeman and his wife, Jennie, of O’Fallon, Ill. and Tony Lettkeman and his wife, Holly, of Stillwater; and his grandchildren, Tavaris and Tyrone Heap of Birds, Summer and Autumn Lettkeman, Xadrian and Bentlee Hernandez, Kelsey, Morgan, and Austin Baxter, Andrew and Will Johnston and Logan, Gage, and Piper Beyer.

Preceding him in death was his father, Orville Lettkeman.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society.
