Gary “Gary B” Benally
Memorial services for Gary “Gary B” Benally, 52, will be held at 1p.m. Monday at the Cheyenne and Arapaho Community Building in Clinton.
Mr. Benally died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, in Clinton.
He was born Oct. 27, 1961, in Winslow, Ariz., the son of Ben and Modesta (Charlie) Benally. He was raised in Luppe, Ariz., and attended Coconino High School in Flagstaff, Ariz., where he was a Golden Glove boxer.
In 1980, he moved to Colorado for six years and came to Oklahoma in 1986. He was an auto mechanic and a welder as a profession. His hobbies included going to the river, riding motorcycles, OSU football, wood working and helping people.
He was preceded in death by both parents, Ben and Modesta Benally and two nephews, Fitzgerald Benally and Myron Benally.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara, of the home; one daughter, Gherri Benally of Clinton; one son, Domnic Line of Clinton; one granddaughter, Aliah Adair; and one grandson, Roderick Barker, Jr.; four sisters and eight brothers.
Officiating will be Gerald Panana, Gerald Watson and Paul Bear Track. Burial will be in Luppe, Ariz. Funeral arrangements are with Stanley-Lee Funeral Home.
