Robert ‘Bob’ Lee Cantrell
Graveside services for Robert “Bob” Lee Cantrell, 77, Weatherford resident, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford, officiated by Dr. John Huser.
Family will greet guests from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday in the parlor of the Church of Christ, 1701 Pine, Weatherford.
Cantrell was born May 5, 1937, south of Hydro, the son of Corbett Austin Cantrell and Lorabell (Ditmore) Cantrell. He died Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, in his Weatherford home.
He was raised south of Hydro, and had lived in the Oklahoma City, Tuttle and Weatherford areas.
Cantrell had attended school in Oklahoma City and moved to Weatherford where he graduated from high school in 1955.
He married Jan Schutes on Aug. 28, 1971, at the Mayfair Church of Christ in Oklahoma City.
He worked with his father-in-law, Skeeter Schutes, in the family body shop business for many years.
He later worked for the Tautfests doing maintenance and repairs for more than 200 apartments, but due to failing health was forced to medically retire in July 2014.
Survivors include his wife, Jan, of the home; two sons, Bryan Kyle Cantrell and his wife, Vickie, of Noble, and Dustin David Cantrell and his wife, J.J., of Dewey; two daughters, Kelly Denise Bender and her husband, Charles, of Norman and Jana Richelle Crain, and her husband, Warren, of Weatherford; 12 grandchildren: Cory, Kevin, Wesley Cantrell, Jason Pickering, Cody Cantrell, Nathan and Ryleigh Miller, Ellie, Caden, and Jancie Cantrell, Kara and Joe Bob Cantrell; two brothers, Raymond Cantrell and his wife, Ann, and Bernie Cantrell and his wife, Peggy, of Tulsa; and two sisters, Sue Castleberry and Linda Carman and her husband, Cliff, of Weatherford.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Corbett and Lorabell Cantrell; a stepmother, Carol Cantrell; and a son, Kerry Lynn Cantrell.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
