Gayla Weedon

Graveside services for Gayla Weedon, 59, of Clinton, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Vici. The service will be officiated by family members.

Gayla Ann Weedon was born March 11, 1955, to Bill and Ahlois (Kennedy) Weedon in Woodward.  She died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, in the Weatherford Regional Hospital.

Weedon was raised in Vici, Bristow, Wagner, Chandler, Sallisaw and finally moved to Clinton where she graduated in 1973. She continued her education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford toward a degree in accounting.

She worked in various areas of the oil industry in Oklahoma and Texas. She was most recently employed with USDA Farm Service Agency in Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was baptized in the First Baptist Church in Chandler.

Survivors include two brothers, Rick Weedon and his wife, Jill, of Arapaho, and Billy Lee Weedon and his wife, Perrie Beth, of Sallisaw; Doni Albright and her husband, Adam, and their two children, Avery and Eli, all of Edmond; and several nieces and nephews.

The family has suggested memorial contributions in her honor be made to the Methodist Health Care Center, 2316 W. Modelle, Clinton, OK 73601. Arrangements are under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
