Viola Elenora Lau
Funeral services for Viola Lau, 90, Clinton resident, were scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Joe Flugstad.
Burial was scheduled in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Bessie, Okla., under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
Viola Elenora (Steigman) Lau was born April 22, 1924 to Edward and Rosa (Weil) Steigman in Clinton, Okla. and passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015, in the Grace Living Center in Clinton.
Viola was raised and attended school in the Bessie area. She was married to Alvin Lau on Feb. 10, 1943 in Clinton. She had been a homemaker and helped on the farm most of her life.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed quilting, baking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Louis Steigman, Edward Steigman; and a sister, Martha Peters.
She is survived by a daughter, Janie Branstetter, and her husband, Brian, of Duncan, Okla.; three sons, Danny Lau, and his wife, Linda, of Clinton, Dennis Lau, and his wife, Cherie, of Alva, Okla. and
Alvin Lau and wife, Dana, of Owasso, Okla.; a sister, Norma Fry, and her husband, Clinton, of Sherman, Texas, and Leland Steigman, of Clinton; and nine grandchildren, Marc Lau, Matthew Lau, Laura Yokley, Justin Lau, Alysa White, Christa Branum, Tara Taylor, Luke Lau and Trey Lau.
