Loretta Walker

Funeral services for Loretta Walker, 96, of Clinton, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Clinton Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Interment will be at Butler Cemetery.

Visitation for Mrs. Walker was held Thursday at Elk City and will be fromuntil 1:30 p.m. today at the church in Clinton.

Mrs. Walker died Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at the United Methodist Health Care Center in Clinton. She was born February 20, 1919 in Port, the daughter of Walter and Tenna (Copeland) Sharp.

She married her sweetheart and best friend, Curtis Leon Walker, and he preceded her in death on May 15, 1998.

She was a charter member of the 20th Century Club and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Butler.

Mrs. Walker was currently a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Clinton and routinely went on women’s mission trips.
Survivors include a son, Curt Walker, and his wife, Judy, of Butler; a daughter, Marva Dupree, and her husband, Darrell, of Butler; eight grandchildren, Randy Dupree, and his wife, Vicki, of Elk City, Danny Dupree, and his wife, Canda, of Clinton, Ronnie Dupree, and his wife, Teresa, of Clinton, Darla Kinney, and her husband, Rod, of Clinton, Ernie Walker of Oklahoma City, Lori Adams and her husband, Greg of Clinton, Dori Fansler, and her husband, Matt, of Weatherford, Tori Outhouse, and her husband, Jared, of Butler; 18 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Vynetta Walker, of Edmond, and Virginia Parr, of Edmond; nieces and nephews; primary caregiver for over 5½ years, Darlene Edgar; and caregivers, Leuva Richardson and Pam Belcher.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Leon Walker; parents, Walter and Tenna Sharp; one sister, Pauline Kenney; and four brothers-in-law, Bob Walker, Al Walker, Glen Parr and Vance Kenney.
