Martha Borchers
Graveside services for Martha Borchers, 92, of Big Spring, Texas, formerly of Clinton, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Clinton Cemetery.
Mrs. Borchers died Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at her residence. She was born Dec. 21, 1922, in Corn, the daughter of Helen (Wiebe) and Peter J. Flaming.
She married Carl Borchers on March 8, 1943, in Hobart. She and her husband farmed in the Rocky and Bessie areas for most of their lives. They also did custom combining from 1952 until 1970.
Mrs. Borchers moved to Big Spring in 2005 from Cordell. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Sasseen, and her husband, Euell, of Foss and Charlotte Shelton, of Big Spring; four brothers, Harvey Flaming, and his wife, Doris, of Yukon, Jay Flaming, and his wife, Virginia, of Weatherford, Jerry Flaming and his wife, Norma, of Prague, and Larry Flaming. of Arizona; five grandchildren, Christine Calvert of Clinton, Edward Sasseen of Bentonville, Ark., Joan McNeil of Weatherford, Melissa Gibson of Navarre, Fla. and Laurel Voight of Big Spring; and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Borchers was preceded in death by her husband; three sisters, Goldie Neufield, Bertha McCain and Lou Ella Morrison; three brothers, Virgil Flaming, Orville Flaming and Marvin Flaming; and a son-in-law, Dr. James Shelton.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
