Dixie Lou Isaac
Funeral services for Dixie Lou Isaac, 59, Clinton resident, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev Dale Nease.
Mrs. Isaac died Sunday, April 12, 2015, in the Clinton Regional Hospital Emergency Room. She was born Oct. 4, 1955 in Oxford, Neb., the daughter of Sydney E. Abbott and Mary (Kezzer) Abbott.
Raised in Nebraska, Tennessee and California, she married Dennis Isaac May 3, 1975 in Westerville, Neb.
They had made their home in California where she was very involved in her children’s school activities, acting as PTA president, homeroom teacher and serving as a Girl Scout leader.
They moved to Oklahoma and settled in Clinton in 1989. She had worked for various families doing domestic-type work, and she cooked for Cumberland Presbyterian.
She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, serving in many capacities; including as a Sunday school teacher and working in the nursery as well as helping with the Keenagers.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Gary Abbott; and a son, Jesse Isaac.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis, of the home; a daughter, Misty McKellips, and her husband, Brandon, of Elk City; a son, Dennis Isaac Jr. of Clinton; four sisters, Grace Shelafoe, and her husband, Roger, of Arkansas, Billie Jo Peters, of Clinton, Kathy Dudek, and her husband, Michael, of Cordell, and Patty Munoz, of Arkansas; three brothers, Tony Abbott, and his wife, Donna, of Covington, Ga., Donnie Abbott, of Georgia, and Scott Abbott, of Omaha, Neb.; and five grandchildren, Bryce, Brock, Jocilyn, Madison, Hannha and Grant.
Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery, under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
