Robert Darrell “Bob” Yellow Eagle Sr.

Funeral services for Robert Darrell “Bob” Yellow Eagle Sr., 53, Norman resident, formerly of Weatherford, will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the First Christian Church in Clinton, officiated by Rev. Ramus Hicks and Rev. Gerald Panana.

There will be an all-night wake service at 7 p.m. today (Thursday) in the Cheyenne-Arapaho Community Building.

Yellow Eagle died Sunday, April 12, 2015, in the Norman Regional Hospital. He was born on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1961, to Jerry Byers and Beulah Yellow Eagle (Penn) in Thomas.

He was raised and attended school in Weatherford and had done construction and masonry work all over the United States. Yellow Eagle had made his home in Clinton and had lived in Norman since 1995.

Survivors include his mother, Beulah Penn, of Clinton; his father, Jerry Byers, of California; his companion of 29 years and the mother of his children, Emma Hamilton, of the home; a son, Robert Yellow Eagle Jr., and his wife, Angela; five daughters, Cathy Yellow Eagle, and her husband, Juan Sanchez, Grace Yellow Eagle, Beth Yellow Eagle, Skylene Yellow Eagle, and Cheyenne Hamilton, all of Norman; four sisters, Carmen Gray, Clinton, Betsy Noah, and her husband, Anthony, Broken Bow, Sue Hulett, and her husband, John, Clinton, and Teresa Wall, and her husband, Kim, of Choctaw; one brother, Michael Yellow Eagle, Clinton; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial will conclude in the Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
