James Harder

James Howard Harder, age 79, died Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at his home in Mustang after a period of failing health.  He was born November 10, 1936 in Thomas, OK to Herman and Bertha (Berry)

Harder and grew up in Butler,OK.  He was a graduate of Butler High School and received his BA in Education from SWOSU and his MA in Education from the University of Oklahoma. He proudly served his country in the US Army.  James had a long career in education, teaching, counseling and many years in Administration for the Putnam City School System, retiring in 1997.  He moved to Mustang in 2000 from Bethany and was a Baptist.  He loved to fish, but his first love was being with family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jackie, one son Randy and one brother Jack.  Survivors include one son Ronnie and one daughter Debra both of Mustang and one grandson Tyler. Visitation will be from 1-8pm on Sunday, December 13, 2012 at McNeil’s Funeral Service. Services will be held at 10am on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil’s Funeral Service, with interment following in the Clinton Cemetery, Clinton, Oklahoma. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday 1pm-8pm and Monday 8am-5pm.
