Harold Bell

A memorial service for Harold Dean Bell, 87, of Custer City, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Freedom Worship Center in Thomas.
He died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at AllianceHealth Clinton.
Bell was born Nov. 21, 1928, to Harold William and Georgia Ray (Cook) Bell, in Putnam. He was raised in the Independence area, where he attended school and graduated in 1946.  
He entered the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War for two years. In 1963 he married Ruby Lee Londagin in Custer County.
Bell served on the Custer School Board from 1975 to 1990, and also drove the Thomas school bus for 15 years. He attended the Thomas Assembly of God Church.
Bell lived and worked on the same farm, six miles west of Thomas, for 80 years. He enjoyed listening to “Willie’s Roadhouse” when he could no longer farm.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Ronald Dean Bell.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; one son, Roger Dean Bell, of Thomas; three daughters, DeAnn Packwood of Billing, Mont., Nancy LaBrue of Cambridge, Kan., and Robin Bell Hall of Stillwater; 16 grandchildren, Benjamin Packwood, Andrew Packwood, Tabitha Packwood, Austin LaBrue, Keith LaBrue, Craig LaBrue, William Bell, Kyle Jeffers, Kasey Jeffers, Jessica Bell, Brittany Bell, Kaira Bell, Aryss Bell, Ryan Ingram, Brett Hall and Gabrielle Hall; and two great-grandchildren, Addison Packwood and Ruger Ingram.
The service will be officiated by Pastor Jerry Yoder.
