Mariano Rangel, Jr.

Funeral services for Mariano Rangel Jr., 55, of Elk City will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Kiesau Memorial Chapel in Clinton.
He died Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Rangel was born Aug. 9, 1962, to Mariano and Manuela (Baca) Rangel Sr. in Clinton. He was raised and attended school in Butler.
On Sept. 7, 2001, he married Tina Knight in Pampa, Texas. 
Rangel was an ordained minister and also worked as a DJ. He enjoyed painting and music. 
He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Erick Matthew Rangel; and a brother, Mario Rangel.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Chris Rangel of Washington and Andrew Kent Rangel of Alaska; his mother, of Butler; four sisters, Maria Ramirez and husband Able and Horlia Wilcox and husband Leonard, all of Butler, Amelia McCommas and husband Matt, and Belia Ramirez and husband Juan; and one brother, Oscar Rangel and wife Angel of Butler.
Burial will follow at Butler Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
