Alecia Kay McGinnis

A memorial service for Alecia Kay McGinnis, 62, former Clinton resident, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home, 112 S. Seventh St., Clinton, with Pat Peters officiating.

Visitation will be until 5 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the funeral home.

Mrs. McGinnis died Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, in Oklahoma City. She was born May 3, 1952 in Clinton, the daughter of Sly and Vera Warrington, former managers of the Post House Restaurant at the Clinton Greyhound Bus Station.

She attended school in Clinton. When living in Clinton, she helped with the preparation of the Thanksgiving meal for the community.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne McGinnis; three daughters, Ruth Ann Span, Veronica Gilliam and Alta McGinnis; one son, Greg Gilliam; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren with another on the way.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Sly and Vera Warrington; two grandsons, Sly Gilliam and Dustin McGinnis; and one sister, Cheryl Warrington.
