Bradley Dale Shindler

Funeral services for Bradley Dale Shindler, 49, Arapaho resident, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Christian Church, officiated by Doyle Kinney.

Shindler died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born March 18, 1965 in Garland, Texas, the son of Bob Shindler and Carol (Fransen) Shindler.

He was raised in Clinton and Arapaho and graduated from Arapaho High School in 1983. He continued his education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

Shindler married Leauna J. Lee in Arapaho. They made their home in Clinton, where he was employed at Clinton Reddy Ice.

He also sold insurance and was a commercial minnow dealer. Shindler later married Kathryn “Kathy” Weightman on Aug. 20, 2008 in Arapaho. He was a farmer/rancher between Clinton and Arapaho at the time of his death.

Shindler played pool and was a member of the BCA Pool Association and APA Pool Association. He held an advanced scuba diving certificate and had coached OK Kids baseball when his sons where young.

Preceding him in death were his son, Blain, in 2010; a brother, Glen Shindler; his maternal grandparents, Isaac and Ruth Fransen; and a paternal grandfather, Arel Shindler.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy, of the home; a son, Brock Shindler, of Arapaho; his mother, Carol Fransen-Webb and step-father, Dwight, of Clinton; his father, Bob Shindler and step-mother, Sandra, of Rockwall, Texas; sisters, Patti Johnson, of Rockwall, Texas, Debbie Ballou, of Caddo Mills, Texas, Nicky Webb and her husband, John, of Pauls Valley, and Sheila Shaw, of Fate, Texas; a brother, Russell Trotter and his wife, Lynn, of Carrolton, Texas; and a paternal grandmother, Hazel Shindler, of Texas.

Burial will follow the service in the Arapaho Cemetery, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
