Buddie Dean Grizzle
Graveside services for Buddie Dean Grizzle 90, Cyril, were scheduled for 11 a.m. today (Thursday) at the Celestial Garden Cemetery in Cyril, with grandson Jerry Grizzle officiating.
Mrs. Grizzle died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, in Clinton. She was born Sept. 9, 1924 in Eldorado, the daughter of Thomas D. and Ollie (Watson) Fletcher.
The family lived in the Oklahoma City and Norman area before she met and married the love of her life, Sylvester A. (Pete) Grizzle on June 28, 1940. After living in and around the Oklahoma City area, they made their home in Cyril.
She worked as a dispatcher for Pete’s Trucking Company and owned a licensed day care service. She attended First Baptist Church and served many years as a volunteer nursery worker.
Survivors include two sons, Tommy Grizzle, and his wife, Paula, Cyril, and Michael H. Grizzle, and his wife, Carol, Sevierville, Tenn.; two daughters, Lynda Kay Milligan, Clinton, and Tammie Kay Suthers, and her husband, Frank, of Sauk Village; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Violet Lockwood, and her husband, Don, Bartlesville; and many nephews and nieces.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Pete; an infant son, Jerry; five brothers; and seven sisters.
