Carl Lee Howard

Funeral services for Carl Lee Howard, 63, have been set for 11 a.m. Monday at the Bethany Baptist Church in Clinton, with Rev. James Callins, Rev. Billy Mucker and Rev. Leonard Jackson officiating.

Howard died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, in Hobart. He was born Jan. 5, 1952 in Houston, Texas.

He was adopted at the age of four by Emma Lee Washington. He attended Page Elementary at the age of five and moved to Weatherford at the age of 11. He later graduated from high school in Cotton Valley, La.

Starting in the early 80s, he worked for the Custer County Sheriff’s Department, and ran his own security business. He transferred in the early 90s to the Hobart Police Department, and continued with the security business.

He retired at the age of 54. Preceding him in death was his adopted mother. Emma Lee Washington.

Survivors include his companion and caregiver, Linda Randle-Flanders; his children, Cedric White, of Fort Worth, Texas, Anette Hurd of Lawton, Cossell Howard of Ocala, Fla., and Shawna Howard of Hobart; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  

Arrangements are under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
