Cassandra Simpson

A memorial service will be held for Cassandra Kaye Simpson, 26, of Clinton, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the Church of God in Yale. She was pronounced dead Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, in Clinton.

Cassie was born on February 4, 1989, to Gordon and Mona (Aday) Simpson, in Stillwater. She grew up and attended school in Yale. While in school, she was active in softball and basketball, and loved going to the drag races. She enjoyed her job working for Weldon Truck Parts in Clinton, Ok and found great pleasure in helping others. Cassie worked as an aide at the Veterans Center in Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Juanita Aday; great-grandparents Catherine and Stanley Elliott, and Wilma and George Simpson; and step-brother Cory Walker.

She is survived by her mother, Mona Walker and husband, Rick, of Clinton; her father, Gordon Simpson and wife, Chris, of Yale; five step brothers, Alan Crump, John Crump, Glenn Glaser, Eric Walker and Chase Walker; three step-sisters, Beverly Glaser, Janet Crump and Ashli Walker; grandparents Hobart and Maxine Simpson, Yale, and Jim Aday, Stillwater; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends.

Memorials may be made in Cassie’s name to the Clinton Veterans Center c/o Palmer Marler Funeral Home, 800 S. Linwood, Cushing, 74023.
