David Lee

 

Funeral services for David Lee, 62, of Arapaho will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the First Christian Church. 
Lee died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, in his Arapaho home. 
David Lewis Lee was born Aug. 31, 1956, to Zephry and Bertha (Temaat) Lee in Bentonville, Ark. He was raised in Arkansas, Kansas and Texas. He moved to Clinton in 1972, where he graduated from Clinton High School in 1974. 
On Dec. 5, 1974, he married Lometa Wohl in Leedey. The couple has made their home in Arapaho since 1978. 
Lee worked for Morton Buildings nearly 20 years, constructing buildings and as a salesman. He started his own construction and carpentry business and was very successful at it for more than 32 years, retiring in 2015.
He was a member of the First Christian Church. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking, playing cards and dominoes, and being with his grandchildren.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents; his paternal grandparents, Rulie Lee and Floyd and Elsie Ramsey; and his maternal grandparents, Ben and Gertrude Temaat.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Toby Lee and wife Cindy of Clinton; a daughter, Amber Lee and Jacob Lamb of Clinton; three sisters, Linda Johnson of Grove, Kathy Merrill of Davis, and Vickie Houser of Chanute, Kan.; and one brother, Danny Lee of Chanute, Kan.
He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jordyn Snider, Conner Snider and Jeff Cornett; and one great-grandchild, Kimber Jo Cornett.
The service will be officiated by Doyle Kinney and Dan Day. Burial will follow at Rhea Cemetery under the direction Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
