Deborah Dee Anne O’Hara
Funeral services for Deborah Dee Anne O’Hara, 64, Clinton resident, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Church of Christ, 2601 Custer Ave., Clinton, officiated by Patrick Peters.
Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery at Elk City.
Miss O’Hara was born Jan. 16, 1950 in El Reno, the daughter of Michael A. Jr. and Patsy Rae (Stream) O’Hara, and died Monday, June 23, 2014, in the Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.
She grew up in El Reno, where she graduated from high school in 1968.
She attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree.
In the early 1980’s O’Hara began working as a substance abuse counselor and then earned her Master of Education in Psychology degree from the University of Oklahoma.
In 1996 she returned to Clinton and became an active member of the Custer Avenue Church of Christ, Meals on Wheels and was currently on the Board of Directors for Clinton Christmas Connection.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Mike and Pat; her grandparents, Mike and Elba O’Hara and G.C. and Bessie Stream; and her step-grandfather, G.L. “Doc” Gambrel.
Survivors include her brother, Michel of Norman; step-mother, Margaret O’Hara Demel of Elk City; step-grandmother, Helen Gambrell of Sentinel and number of cousins, including Robert and Sandra Lamm of Saraland, Ala., Janie Neill of Houston, Texas, Bob and Judy Lamm of Tucumcari, N.M., Sondra and Larry Thomas, Logan, N.M., Robert and Jimi Lou O’Hara of Elk City, Anna Marie Strobel of Elk City, Chery Mayfield of Elk City, Pat Garling, Kenny and Misty Garling, all of Bessie, Cindy and Robert Mayfield of Clinton and Pat and Laura O’Hara of Edmond.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
