Delbert D. Harrison
Funeral services for Delbert D. Harrison, age 81 of McLoud, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel in Tecumseh, with Rev. Brad Reimers and Kirk Reimers officiating.
Burial will follow at the Custer City Masonic Cemetery.
Harrison died Friday, May 8, 2015, in Shawnee. He was born May 8, 1934 in Custer County, the son of Anna (Murray) Harrison and Charles Harrison.
Harrison grew up in Custer City and joined the Air Force in 1952 to begin a 20-year military career.
He met and married Lillie Murel Clark, in Columbus, Ohio, on Jan. 21, 1955. She preceded him in death on Feb. 16, 1996.
After his military career, Harrison worked at the McLoud and Shawnee Public Schools, and later was manager of the OU Medical Center Hospital Cafeteria in Oklahoma City.
Survivors include nephews and their wives, Marion and Helen Reimers, of Asher, DeWade and Beverly Reimers of Guthrie; a niece, Sharian Golstrap of Midwest City; grand-nephews and their wives, Kirk and Jacque Reimers of Bridge Creek, Brad and Debbie Reimers, of Hobbs, N.M., Deidra Reimers, of Asher, Eric Reimers, of Guthrie and Sharial Goldtrap, of Midwest City; a good friend, Donna Williams of Bethel; and a host of grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
A family gathering will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Tuesday) with visitation open most of the day at the funeral home in Tecumseh.
