A memorial service for Delmer “Ray” Marquis, age 85, was held Saturday, Nov. 22, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Tulsa.
Marquis died Sunday Nov. 16, 2014, at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa after a long bout with cancer.
He was surrounded by his wife, Margarette, his daughter, Drew, and his son, Skip Ashley. He was born July 21, 1929, the son of Ray Marquis and Margie (Wilson) Marquis.
Marquis was a staff sergeant during the Korean War. He retired as a master mechanic with McDonnell Douglas.
The family suggests that memorial donations may be made to the Marine Corps League or St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Tulsa.
