Edna Abrahams
Funeral services for Edna Abrahams, 98, of Clinton will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Mennonite Church.
She died Friday, May 4, 2018, in the Clinton Therapy and Living Center.
Edna Mae Abrahams was born Dec. 29, 1919, to Fred A. Engel and Elizabeth (Penner) Engel in Corn. She was raised in Corn and graduated from Corn High School in 1937.
On Feb. 15, 1942, she married Leonard Abrahams in Corn. They couple made their home in Clinton and were married 76 years.
Abrahams was a longtime and faithful member of the First Mennonite Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, singing and playing the piano.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Burton, Penny, Pete and Ervin; and two sisters, Dora and Reva; and one grandson, Craig Meyer.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two daughters, Beth Ann Meyer and husband Stewart of Chickasha and Lenette Davis and husband Mike of Mustang; a son, Belford Abrahams of Cordell; and a sister, Elsie Jost of Albany, Ore.
She is also survived by five grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Daniel Mosburg. Burial will follow at Corn Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
