Garry Wheeller Archer

Graveside services for Garry Wheeller Archer, 94, of Butler, have been set for 10 a.m. Friday at Butler Cemetery.  
He died Monday, May 7, 2018, in Weatherford.
Archer was born Aug. 10, 1923, in Cordell to George W. and Ellie (Wheeller) Archer. He was raised in Butler, where he attended school before starting work as a rancher in the Butler area. 
In 1963 he married Laverne Grubb.  
Archer’s hobbies included working on cars, farming and ranching, fishing, and raising bird dogs and race horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and two brothers, W.F. Archer and Calvin Archer.
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Archer and wife Joyce of Clinton, Gary Lyn Archer and wife Rhonda of Yukon, and Ricky Archer and wife Callie of Butler; two step-daughters, Ladonna Wells of Clinton and Connie Haggard of Clinton; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.  
The service will be  under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
