Gerald “Jerry” Wade Cormier
A memorial service for Gerald “Jerry” Wade Cormier, 49, Lafayette, La. resident and former Clinton resident, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, at the Bethany Brethren in Christ Church in Thomas.
Cormier was born in Lafayette but moved to Clinton as a young boy where he attended Clinton Public Schools.
He moved back to Lafayette in 2013 where he died due to a motorcycle accident Sunday night, Dec. 21, 2014, in Scott, La.
Survivors include three children, Stoney Cormier, Bryan Cormier and Christie Cormier; sisters, Nada Clayborn, of Thomas and Earlene Carriere and Judy Tran, both of Lafayette, Brenda Walker, of Texas, Barbara La Brie, of Florida; and a brother, Gilbert Hernandez Jr., of Stafford.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Rose Hernandez; and his stepfather, Gilbert Hernandez.
