Harley L. Waldrup

A celebration of life for Harley L. Waldrup, 78, lifelong Coweta resident, was held Nov. 27 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, officiated by Rev. Bill Walker and Rev. Lynn Moss.
Waldrup died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was born May 11, 1934, in Coweta, the son of Claude and Ethel (Simmons) Waldrup.
Waldrup graduated from Coweta High School and married the former Flo Claxton on March 17, 1956 in Coweta.
He worked for TK International as a supervisor and owned and operated Eastside Septic Service until he retired.
Waldrup was a member of the Shahan Free Will Baptist Church in Coweta.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Flo Waldrup of the home; daughters, Brenda Peters and her husband, Tim, of Oklahoma City, and Leanne Bryan and her husband, Mitch, of Norman; a sister, LaDonna Neely, of Clinton; a brother, James Claude Waldrup, of Coweta; four grandchildren, Craig, Bradley, Lynsey and Brady; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His parents, Claude and Ethel Waldrup, preceded him in death.
A private burial was conducted in the Vernon Cemetery at Coweta.
