Jackie Carter

A graveside memorial service for Jackie Lynn Carter, 41, of Clinton, will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Clinton Cemetery Pavilion.

Carter died Thursday, May 12, 2016, at the AllianceHealth Clinton emergency room.

Jackie Lynn Carter was born April 18, 1975, in Kermit, Texas. She was raised in Kermit, Texas, and in Merritt. She graduated from Merritt High School in 1993.

Carter worked for Braum’s in Elk City before joining the U.S. Navy in 1997. She was honorably discharged in 2000.

In 2012 she married Mark Wade Carter, in Woodward. They made their home in Clinton about one year ago. She enjoyed doing craft work, crocheting, and being a caregiver to all.

Carter was preceded in death by her father, James Key Biles; and four brothers, Todd Biles, James K. Biles Jr., Eddie Joe Biles and Darrell Catlin.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; her parents, Carol and Avey Rico, of Clinton; four children, Misty Price, of Electra, Texas, and Jason Farrell, Jasmine Farrell and Elizabeth Farrell, all of Virginia; six sisters, Cathy Knight, of Clinton, Diana Marion, of Texas, Tana Ensley, of Texas, Dora Hays, of Altus, Darlene De-La-O, of Altus, and Alice Tautenhaha, of Norman; three brothers, Delbert Shropshire, of Mustang, Al Rico, of Norman, and Pat Rico, of California; two sisters-in-law, Tamara Crotts and husband John, and Cheryl Fussel and husband Alan, of Stillwater; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.  

Services will be officiated by Rev. Bobby Stewart, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
