James D. Story Jr.
Funeral services for James D. Story Jr., 60, Clinton businessman, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 11, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
Story died Friday morning, May 8, 2015, at Clinton Regional Hospital. He was born July 28, 1954 in Topeka, Kan., the son of James D. and Ellen Story.
He started his young life in Mississippi and moved to Frederick, where he attended school and would have graduated with the 1972 graduating class but enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1971.
He was awarded his GED in 1972 and was honorably discharged from Vietnam in 1973.
Story returned to Frederick where he did his art work. He moved to Clinton in 1985 and was a sign painter and worked for the Cherokee Trading Post. He participated in the operation of Omega 1, which is an Internet provider in Clinton
He was married to Cathy L. Kennett on Jan. 22, 1980 in Oklahoma City. They made their home in Clinton.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Rhead Story.
He was a member of the Church in Oklahoma City.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy, of the home; three sons, Chris Story, of Yukon, John Toney, of Weatherford, and Michael Chadrick, of Cordell; four grandchildren, Kreedance Story, of Clinton, Bre Toney, of Weatherford, and Isabella and Michael Chadrick, of Cordell.
Burial will conclude in the Roselawn Cemetery in Okeene.
