Jim Boling

Funeral services for Jim Boling, 80, of Edmond and formerly of Clinton, were held Monday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel.
He died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017 in his Edmond home.
Jim Lee Boling was born June 22, 1937, to Horace L. and Vera Marie (Williams) Boling in Perkins. He was raised in Perkins and Cushing and graduated from Cushing High School in 1955. 
In Dec. of 1955, he married Carol Ann Hixon in Okmulgee. Boling worked for Safeway Foods in Cushing and later moved to Clinton in 1962. He then became a salesman for Yeager Wholesale and various other companies before completing his sales career with William E. Davis Company.
Boling and his wife later opened their first antique and refinishing store in Clinton. 
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Clinton. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting coins and guns. 
Boling was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol; two brothers, Cecil Ray “Sandy” Boling and C.A. Boling.
Survivors include his daughters; Sabrina Sims of Edmond, Desiree Poore and husband Rhett of Clinton and Ashlea Peacock of Edmond; special friend, Sherry Nolan of Prague; sister Ina Price and husband Bobby of Cushing; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Hixon and wife Marge of Cushing and Jerry Hixon and wife Nancy of Broken Arrow.
He is survived by seven grandchildren, Tyler Sims and wife Lindsey of Denver, Colo., Tiffany Sims of Midwest City, Landry Howell of Bessie, Jentry Howell of Foss, Jake Peacock of Edmond, Abbie Peacock of Edmond and Taylor Peacock of Oklahoma City; six great-grandchildren, Gavin Campuzano of Midwest City, Ali, Zachary and Mackensie Sims of Denver, Colo.; Zoe Howell of Foss and Bryson Peacock of Oklahoma City.
Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Lung Disease or to the charity of their choice.
The service will be officiated by Rev. Tracey Yates. Burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
