Jo Ann Cecilia Mock

Jo Ann Cecilia was born to Mike and Etta (Wenthold) Mahl on May 6, 1932 in Elk City, OK.  Jo Ann passed away on April 22, 2018 in Clinton, OK at Grace Living Center. Funeral Services for Jo Ann will be held at Saint Matthew’s Catholic Church in Elk City at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 30, 2018 with a time of fellowship to follow. 
Jo Ann attended Holy Family School in Canute, OK and graduated in 1950. She married Jerry L. Webb on July 11, 1950 in Canute.  She and Jerry loved to golf, water ski, travel, and spend time at the lake.  They were active members of Saint Joseph Catholic Church and school in Elk City where their oldest daughters attended until his untimely death in 1964 at age 33.  His death changed the direction of Jo Ann’s life.  Jo Ann lived the majority of her life in Canute and Elk City with some short periods of time in other towns in Oklahoma and Texas.  Jo Ann remained close to her parents throughout their lives and selflessly cared for them in their later years in their home in Canute. She spent most of the past three years living in South Dakota with two of her daughters before she returned to Oklahoma in August 2017.
Jo Ann loved cooking and baking for her family and others, tending to her flowers and yard, and watching  sports.  Her favorites were OKC Thunder and OU.  She never got over Kevin Durant leaving OKC.  
Jo Ann is survived by her brother Herbert (Elaine), her sister Lena (Gene), her brother-in-law Andy;  her daughters , Deb Hamer of Watertown,  S.D., Sue Webb of Elk City, OK, Denise Webb of Brookings, S.D., and Kathi Peek of Clinton, OK; her grandchildren Shelly Wright, Jerry Wright, Derrick Peek, and Dustin Peek of Oklahoma,  and  Justin Hamer, Tosha Vogel,  Tasondra Huyck, Jasmine Huyck, Joshua Huyck, Ian McKuen, and Emily Webb of South Dakota.  Jo Ann had 27 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry, her sister Janice, her infant daughter Mary Ann, and her sons-in-law Ken Hamer and Brad Peek.
