Joyce Lee Allison
Funeral services for Joyce Lee (Smith) Allison, 88, Clinton resident, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Clinton First United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Roland Youngberg and Sue Rowley.
Mrs. Allison died Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Oklahoma City.
She was born May 31, 1926, in Clinton, the daughter of Charles M. and Bernice (Wells) Smith.
A 1944 graduate of Clinton High School, she attended Oklahoma College for Women and Oklahoma State University, studying home economics. She married Robert D. “Bob” Allison on March 8, 1948, in Chickasha.
She served as a librarian at Clinton Public Library for many years. Joyce and Bob were part of Clinton’s business community as proprietors of several businesses.
Very active in her community, Mrs. Allison was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Worthwhile Women’s Group and P.E.O. International.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Bob; her parents; her sister, Virginia Rowley; her sons-in-law, Scotty Breeden and David Allen; and a grandson.
Surviving are her three daughters, Becky Breeden, Debbie Allen, and Terrie Parker, and her husband, Rick; two granddaughters; two grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will greet guests from 5 until 7 p.m. today (Saturday) in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
Burial will be in the Arapaho Cemetery.
