Juanita Igo

Funeral services for Juanita Igo, 96, longtime Clinton resident, are scheduled for 11 a.m.Wednesday at Clinton’s Custer Avenue Church of Christ with Pat Peters officiating.

Mrs. Igo died Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Binger Nursing and Rehabilitation, Binger, where she had been a resident since August, 2014.

Mrs. Igo was born east of Cordell on June 15,1918, one of eight children born to Joseph W. Goucher and Edna (Hutton) Goucher.

On Christmas day in 1937 she married Alva J. Igo. They lived mostly in the Clinton-Arapaho area. Her husband preceded her in death in 1991, as did her daughter, Treva Trent, in 2004.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Charlie, Arlie, Dewey, Lee and Alfred Goucher; and sisters, Irene Schpansky and Eva Igo.

Survivors include daughters, Coleen Kelley, Escondido, Calif., Barbara Cuccolo, and her husband, Paul, Milford, Pa., and Peggy Subia, and her husband, Richard, Eakly; sons, Danny Igo, and his wife, Sharon, Mounds, and Roger Igo, Austin, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Hatchett Cemetery, north of Bessie under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home of Clinton.

Mrs. Igo worked as a cook for Clinton Schools for many years, mostly at Southwest Elementary.

She was an active member of Clinton’s Custer Avenue Church of Christ and AARP.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Shepherd Home Health and Hospice of Clinton.
