Kenneth Robert ‘Kenny’ Owen
Chapel services for Kenneth Robert “Kenny” Owen, 89, of Clinton, will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) in the chapel of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home, officiated by Doyle Kinney.
Owen died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City.
He was born Dec. 11, 1924, in Clinton, the son of Lawrence and Emma (Mueller) Owen.
Owen was raised in the Clinton area and was a 1943 Clinton High School graduate. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He married Dorlia Smith on Nov. 21, 1953. They made their home in Clinton where he was employed by the Clinton Glass Company and Clinton Lumber Company.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Owen and his wife, Karen, of Clinton and Craig Owen and Shauna Hacker of Arapaho; two granddaughters Kolby Kenny and her husband, Rob, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Kelsey Martin and her husband, Adam, of Little Elm, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Zackary and Chase Kenny and Emma Martin.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Dorlia; his parents, Lawrence and Emma Owen; one grandson, Glen Owen; one brother, Harry Owen; and one sister, Marion Rosenthol.
Burial will be in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of Lee Funeral Homes in Clinton.
