Leola Kelley

 

A celebration of life memorial will be held for Leola Belle (Stockton) Kelley, 82, at 11 a.m. Friday at Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
Kelley died Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, in Denison, Texas.
She was born Oct. 18, 1936, to Levi Madison Stockton and Ilo (Hann) Stockton in Custer County. She was raised in the Foss area and attended Stafford schools. 
She married Truman McClure and raised three sons in the Roosevelt area, where she worked for Consolidated 8 Cotton Gin more than 30 years. She then relocated to the Clinton area, where she spent the past 30 years. 
In 1998 she married Byron “Barney” Kelley.
She worked at The Point and most recently for the Holiday Inn Express, where she was the breakfast hostess until her retirement at age 80.
Kelley was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Kimbry McClure; a sister, Darlene Smith; and four brothers, Robert (Bob) Stockton, William (Bill) Stockton, Levi Stockton, Jr. and Eldon Stockton.
Survivors include two sons, Kennie McClure and wife Mendy and Basil McClure and wife Rachel, all of Denison, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Erin McClure of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Ken Stockton of Clinton; and a brother-in-law, J.C. Smith of Clinton.
She is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
